Hey Steff, always thought you Welsh couldn't hold your drink, come to Somerset where they make Proper cider ,then you will have a proper headache , I haven't seen any apple trees on the mountains or valleys over your neck of the woods only Sheep .uh 🐑🐑🐑😜

I'm recovering from another bottle of my home made cider, not yet halfway through last years batch of 70 litres. Watch out Somerset, we can do a decent cider, although I inported my wife from Somerset

I made 28 gallons of cider once using a home made apple press powered by a hydraulic car jack, a electric dril powered mincer and any old apples I come across.
It was horrible stuff.
Since then I've stuck to beer brewing - I'm very good at that.

  @shifter us taffs are proud of our drinking abilities .gotto admit cider is not good for me when we was working on m25 a foreman from thornbury used to bring us back scrumpy it was a £1 a gallon then lol never been so bad after drink , i was spewing like a seagull .i said then id never touch the stuff again lol i will stick with stella and thats the name of my drink, shifter

What's with the Stella and Magor brewery.   All swear words to a real ale drinker.

Any forum members passing through my patch are welcome to pop in and sample the homebrew cider, but I ain't posting it. It is early days as this batch is only my second attempt, first attempt was not exactly great, I left it in the first brew keg too long, second attempt was better having syphoned it into fresh kegs after 2 weeks, and bottling it 3 or 4 weeks later, it is still inproving the longer it is stored, back at christmas it was strong but not that nice, now it is actually matureing to something quite nice.
Stella used to be my feeling poor tipple, but cider is even cheaper - the press and pulper were a lot, lot cheaper then rrp. I vastly prefer real ales though.
