(CB750 and others) Master brake cylinder overhaul
« on: May 07, 2016, 07:06:48 PM »
Will have to overhaul my KO master brake cylinder. Boot is toast.

In order to get out the clip of the master brake piston HONDA says grip 07073-30001.

Where to get one or what tool do you use?

cheers, Uli

Something like this I thinkā€¦

https://www.koolairconsupplies.com/trident-t244100-snap-ring-pliers.html

Or try an ebay search for long nosed circlip pliers...

I found I had to grind down the pliers in your link to reach the clip
I have since found it easier to remove the clip with a small pick or screwdriver

If the seals are OK and its just the boot you only need to get out a wire coirclip that is not in a groove
