Forks / yokes CB400f
« on: May 15, 2016, 07:59:21 PM »
Quick check through hasn't turned anything up, sorry if it's been asked before but in a rush to find out and not in a position to measure up.

My forks and top yoke are scrap, trying to find something at a sensible price to replace that will be a bit of an upgrade without breaking the bank.

Anyone know if NC21 front end will fit without major surgery? Or any other suggestions?

TIA. 👍  8)

Hi,
Superdream 250/400 front end goes straight in, dimensions the same apart from forks slightly longer, 400 forks good for twin discs.
nice bike,nothing in the bank

Spotted this 400/4 Top Yoke if you decide to stick with standard forks:

Twin disks from a 400N may be nice but I suspect these front ends may be a bit scarce, probably more single disk versions about.
The Comstar wheels are a matter of taste, you'd probably want one on the rear as well.
I'm sure I read somewhere that it is a good idea to also fit Superdream instruments - speedo gearing is different for 19" front wheel.

I also have a set of forks and yokes from a CB360. Forks are the same as the 400, stanchions are pitted but other parts are OK.

Don't know what this one will go for or what the reserve is but it could be a source of parts to plunder and sell off the other bits:

I don't know whether it is a Dream or Superdream (it has a Dream tank) but it has the twin front discs.

Here's another I've just spotted which has gone down a different route for the wheels/forks:

Thanks for these, Ken and Chris. Sorry I haven't replied, been a crap few weeks dodging redundancy so bike has been on hold!

Back to it now having just about survived. :)

Appreciate the feedback. :)
