1970 cb350 twin trade
« on: June 06, 2016, 05:12:32 AM »
So I probably will get a biased answer, but I have the opportunity to trade my nice, good running almost all original cb350 twin with 15k to a fellow who has a 72 cb350f with 8k and almost all original too. The 350f has a video of it running but I'm not sure what it should like. It does sound good. I know the twin is faster but it's buzzy for my taste. Never had a four, should I pull the trigger?  Thanks!

Had loads of CB250/350K's .. back in the day. Still love em that's why I am restoring 3 of them now (2 x K0's , 1 K1 350 all '69 models).  Plus I have had 4 x 400's and love those too and I still own a '75 restored one. When I first test rode a 500/4 for a friend and then bought my 1st 400/4 way back it was a revelation in silky smoothness C/W the twins. If you have never owned a 4 then I would test ride one and possibly do the deal. But make sure you are not trading a nice twin for a dog of a 4 and the original 4 into 4 exhaust system  is only available as a repro and of mixed quality according to Roy on here.

Send us piccies of both bikes
Also welcome BTW !

I would say that the four is worth a bit more than the twin (twin is a K2 to members not familiar). Both have the weakest point of non-standard exhausts and genuine are almost  unobtainium but both are available as pattern parts (apart from the downpipes of the twin). Unfortunately the 350F aftermarket 4 into 4's , to my knowledge, are not as nice as the 750/4 & 500/4 repros.
