I traded my spare set with JamesH and they had tiny bits of metal spot welded to them. Wonder when those came in ? They were like these:-

Those with lugs are the ones I have on my CB500K2 (ED) that was assembled around 1976. They were also on the CB550K2 '76. You could do me an enormous favor by measuring/photographing them as well or those the ones in the pic that says 11mm? An useful overview of differences between the CB500, CB500K1 and CB500K2 (ED, F, G) which was different from the CB500K2 in the USA is found here (scroll down) www.honda4fun.com/home/faq/generali/111-cb500-differenze-k0-k1-k2 Then you'll understand the lugs. The CB500K2 (ED, F, G) was marketed in Europe in 1976-7 and shares many parts with the CB550K2 '76. The CB500K2 (A) was marketed in 1973 in the US. In the pic here below a fine example of the CB500K2 (ED).

Sorry, as I said, I traded those with James but I am sure he will measure them for you if he's not used them yet. The photo I posted was an internet shot, not the traded ones.

I'm studying your pictures and I wonder if the metal where the holes are (those for mounting I mean, so one top and two down) is supposed to be parallel. Would be nice if anyone with a stock, undamaged set of brackets had connections in the 3D-printing world, btw.

I've spoken with the Netherlands this morning. I've been assured that it is normal for some exhaust gas to leak from the muffler studs, and that it will clog up quickly to create a seal. If it doesn't work after a hours use, then I should contact again to discuss further options.

I'll keep you posted. Think I might give it another go this weekend, using Ash's measurements from stock brackets.

The exhausts seemed to be level when I fitted them, just not in line vertically. I'll double check this weekend.

I hope Ash is accurate. I'm measuring myself right now. The top brackets (18435-374-670 and 18345-374-670) seem pretty close. I suppose when measuring the height as in Ash's pics my top brackets I have to ignore the lugs that are welded on. The lower brackets (18430-323-040 and 18340-323-040) are of but I haven't figured out which way is best to rebend them.

I was thinking the same thing, how to bend them. Looking at my repro ones they have a gentler bend at the bottom as opposed to Ash's which looks like one bend. I might try and replicate that. The top one just needs a spacer between bracket and frame I think.

Think I'll be putting the kettle on for this project and send more time looking at it than fitting it!

Mine were just old used ones I imported from the States so no guarantees. All I can says is they both measured exatly the same heights as pairs.

I wasnt over scientific with mine, just eyed up roughly where things needed rotating to and whacked the bracket in my vice with a rubber mallet to bend it. ;D ;D ;D

I wouldnt get too over scientific as someone said even originals never fitted perfecty

It'll pay with my OCD if it didn't fit perfectly!

Are the frame arms (that hold the brackets for the exhausts) supposed to be at the same distance to  let's say the tubes of the rear fork? On mine the one on the left hand side seems to be at a distance that is half a cm shorter. Now, it can be that I've bent it recently, it can be that it was bent before in a accident but there's also the possibility it is original so. Can you guys please have a look at yours? I think I can easily bend it back if necessary, but I will not undertake this before I know for sure it's not original. In the pic is the one on the right hand side btw. I'm pretty sure that one is not bent.
