It'll probably fetch far more than I'd be willing to pay for it! Minus points would be those appalling u.s. spec handlebars, P.D. carbs, and impossible to source stock pipes, they may look shiny, but I reckon first good thrash on the road will cause all the internal baffling to disintegrate and spew out the rear! :o

Exhaust looks like fairly new aftermarket units.

;) yes totally agree honda had lost the plot by then ,there was a lot nicer and faster bikes to be had like the cbx1000 and cb900 not to mention what the competition was churning out.

I scrapped one that cost me 50 quid! Funnily enough, apart from the seat I liked the look of them too.

Sorry Ginger, I was thinking I may have insulted somebody. There was bound to be people on here that had a K7. ::)

Roy, that u.s. model is indeed horrible, the seat and bars particularly, thankfully U.K spec models looked like normal K series bikes with seamless silencers, but replacement stock pipes are almost impossible to find.

No need to apologise Roy ;D  I guess I bought the K7 because it reminded me of what it was like to be 19 for a while and I also made the mistake of feeling sorry for a bike that had been neglected for years.  Couple of years later the only original parts left are the frame and swinging arm!  In the grand scheme of things its never going to be in a museum, but its worth the couple of grand just to have all the comments along the lines of....'oh thats an old one' and 'I had one of those in the eighties' etc etc

It's possibly a K8 never sold here

Another thumbs up for the K7, my donor bike was mainly K7 apart from the K6 engine and 4 into 1, I liked the look of it , distressed as it was, then I got the grinder out! 😡
(PS that's the Bosh 4.5" grinder fitted with a cutting disc, not the gay dating app of course 😀)
