Can't believe he's ruined a good F2 to get easily available parts. Has he not heard of eBay. Just call him Henry Bikepusher.

Like it !!  Surprised he didn't go to DK . Depends if he sells the donor as a project with his old parts ..then he is strictly not the same a BP. Anyone know the guy he got the donor bike off ?

as above, shame to break a good one when there are good donors for less money. i'm looking for a reasonably low miles f2 as a donor bike for mine from the likes of DK. still looking but i'll get there. must be nice to have loads of cash to throw at a project though!!

Theres no point in a doner bike full of crap parts.
When you add up all the bits he needs it soon pays for its self.

Don't hate me you know I'm right  ;)

I agree .. would have done the same myself to resurrect such are rare special. As long as he keeps the donor bike frame and cases together as a sale , it will always be an entity as an original bike.  Never seen BP keep a frame and engine/cases  together as a 'project'. I know I will be shot down in flames for this   :-[ :-[ but I actually bid on some pristine 400/4 handlebars BP was selling a week or so back but I was outbid anyway . If you are looking down Bitsa ... I am ashamed ! (but at least they were not pattern ones  :)  )

The real reason for a £3000 donor bike is too lazy to refurb the parts they have, plus cant be bothered shopping around for bits. They need to make the TV show quickly, so getting all the bits in one purchase is the way to go. Wouldn't happen in reality as all the parts they said they needed are on either eBay or DK today. The PRR is worth around 10-12k depending on how well its done, they have already spent over half of that before they even loosen the first bolt. This refurb will cost way more to finish than the bike is worth. Its only being done like this for a TV interest story. TV make believe.

Just caught up with the available episodes... I've been to that garden back in 2012 and seen Steve and the PRR. I'm sure he was glad to get 2 grand for a frame and a tank  ::)

Indeed. What other programmes do we have as motorcyclists. Henry Cole does have his own way of presenting, which personally I like, and is doing a good job bringing this great love of ours and obviously his self to a wider audience. Great to see the older bikes well represented.
Owning a PRR myself makes me even more interested to see what they eventually turn out.

Cards on the table. It was shed and buried that gave me the inspiration and guts to finally go and buy a bike and do something with it instead of sitting in the pub talking a good game. For this I thank him.

Quite enjoyed last night's programme. He certainly digs out some old legends (Alf Hagon last night). My mate Rog will have liked the J.A.P engined bike at Alf's as he bought one a few weeks back.

Perhaps he should have bid on something like this for the donor though. Supposedly has good forks & wheels, which is what they needed plus swinging arm.
