Vapour Blasting
« on: December 03, 2016, 04:15:30 PM »
I can recommend Dave Jones from Red Dragon Vapour Blasting in Wrexham 01978 448983. He does vapour and dry blasting. I had a price from a place in Chester (15 miles or so closer to me), but with two more items Red Dragon was still £60 cheaper. The finish is superb. From badly corroded to smooth satin.

I would not recommend Vapour blasting on engines. Casings are OK but, you still have to paint them as corrosion sets in fast.

This guy adds a corrosion inhibitor to delay the process. I'd had the casings blasted previously by a friend of a friend of a....etc. He used crushed glass at too high a pressure and left the surfaces very rough. Red Dragon did it properly and managed to recover my casings to a condition that is now good enough to be painted.
