UK suppliers similar to Dime City or 4into1?
« on: July 29, 2016, 11:08:59 AM »
Its seems over the other side of the pond trick parts for SOHC bikes are plentiful and cheap with suppliers like Dime City Cycles and 4into1 (to name only two out of many!).

Over here it seems aftermarket bits are insanely priced and just a bit crap. Does anyone know of any decent suppliers i can look up? Im after some brat style / cafe racer bits

I know this is an old topic, but after vast searching and talking to various overseas suppliers due to high cost items here on these shores, the only way is to either order what you need and pay the inland revenue upon delivery. I know it stinks but you still recoup some savings by doing this. Some suppliers will help out as in lowing the value of goods for import taxes on the goods ticket. It is worth speaking to them, they want business also so may well accommodate your wish. Carpys do this, dcc will do also on some stock and cyclex.

Sorry, mostly it's down to the weight of the package. Small low value items such as under 100 bucks usually gets to your door without any additional charges

I've managed to do alright as I was in California a couple of months back so went to 4 into 1 in person and picked up a big order (had 50kg luggage allowance for flight back as standard!), and next week my other half is off to Florida and will be picking up an exhaust system I've ordered. Sometimes things just go your way  ;D

Nice one, makes it even more special as you see the items first hand. Never had any trouble with any overseas suppliers, even thro sometimes it takes a while for them to understand what you are looking for, half the fun I suppose.
