That's not encouraging. The bits that aren't holey are probably wafer thin so welding looks a non starter.
Cheers hairy. Thankfully DK are footing the bill because they sold the bike stating original and solid exhausts. When I started the thing up it sounded amazing, but I soon realised why!! Ha ha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DK are on the look out for decent replacements but far and few between at the moment. I did listen to your advice Ash and looked for a bike with a decent exhaust system. I even spoke to DK before bidding and asked several questions about the exhaust system, and was told it was in good condition! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI think those CL exhausts are rocking horse poo Al as the bike was never sold here and they command a massive price NOS in the USA. At least with the CB version, Brituro do repros's which they made me a pair of to order with the correct seams, no logos etc. I will keep my eyes peeled for you. Which CL is it? ie K what ? My guess from the side panel emblems/year of manufacture is its a K2
I was looking at these:http://www.chromerestorationspecialist.co.uk/services/dechroming--repair/Not used them, don't know what the prices are like, but if you've got no choice it may be worth a call.
