Cam trouble

Hi I've been helping a mate with is f2 engine .it was tapping really bad when we removed tappit covers there was no oil on right hand side . So engine out and stripped .found oil jet on that side blocked the can now has a little lip on it now  picture below .is it toast now can it be repaired and is the f2 can different to other models .has anyone got one spare .cheers yozzer [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

TheF2 cam is unique to that model. Bryan J is your best chance of knowing a firm that can try and repair it.
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

F2 cams are getting quite hard to get hold of, ordinary k ones still work with not much power loss apparently

not sure of cost but they can be refaced and ground to original spec

Try SEP in Kegworth / Leicestershire . Had some crank bearings built up amd reground on a superdream motor years ago.

Pretty sure they could do the required...

There are firms in the US that reprofile cams but don't know of any in the UK. Any 750 cam will fit and run and the power loss will be minimal and almost cetainly un noticable
