That's what it says in the Parts List too. Wonder why they changed just that colour between models.

Starlight is the better colour IMO. I've had both and the K1 Candy Gold custom is very nice, it's a real Candy colour as well with a lot of flake in it but the Starlight is a much more subdued Gold, it's classy if you get my drift whereas the K1 colour just shouts hey look at me I'm Gold. Either is fine but I think the Starlight edges it.

Does Menno have matches for both shades? Guess I will be needing Starlight Gold then.

Don't know Ash but if you need a colour match for Starlight Gold I can lend you a sidepanel off my bike, it's virtually NOS, only been fitted for 3 months before being stored.

Cheers Ken may take you up on that. Can't imagine that Menno hasn't done that shade already though. What was the colour of the 500K0 that Julie sold?

No, an old boy in Newport Pagnell but it was a b*****d to paint and get right, although saying that it came out very well. The chap I sold the bike to unfortunately lost a side panel a few weeks ago, he took a new bare one to the chap in Newport Pagnell, as luckily he had a little paint left from the original tin and he is well pleased with the colour match.

I seem to recall that Menno hasn't done a Starlight Gold paint job yet, he was asking about a patch match panel the last time we talked about it.

Also if Julies was the same bike that Graham was doing or at least advising on, I sent Graham some pics of one of my panels for checking, however that doesn't mean the fella in Newport got the colour right, just means they were all the same colour, only real way to check would be to get a genuine Starlight Gold panel in good condition and compare them in Direct Sunlight.

Not sure but Bryan may have an original panel in that colour. I made sure on the last paint job that I got the left over paint from my jobs .. as Andrew said ..'You bought it . it's all yours'.  He also gave me some metallic 'Sunny Gold' as used on CB750 tank striping and the side panels.

Well, I  guess I would be very happy with an original colour to match.
So Oddjob / Ken if the offer still stands I would say: yes please.

Should be the same gold as your K2 but, it is listed as Candy Gold Custom
