Idle air screws (CB350F)
« on: February 03, 2017, 04:22:40 PM »
Just as a check, what settings have you 350F guys got for your air screws. Standard is 7/8 out but that was back in 72 when there was tons of lead in the petrol. Is anybody running things differently with success. Although it runs, starts and idles good, I Am having a bit of trouble just off idle. If the throttle is opened too quickly the engine dies. Cheers.

Mine are about 1 and 1/4 turns out and i am now using a delkevic pipe it picks up quite nicely with a quick blip of the throttle, if i really go for it though it wants to die i will be trying to improve on that when the weather warms up, i also have mine at around 1300 idle speed, it's always been similar with all the 1970s fours i have owned the only one it was not like it on was a Z thou that had accelerator pumps on the carbs and others that have had CV carbs. maybe a video of the bike running and blipping the throttle may help us to assess it better.
