Original ones are rare,  there were kits available to transform a standard F2   Into one,  only 150 PRead Reps were  built by Colin Seeley. Not many have all original parts, particularly the original exhaust system .

started to loosely assemble the Britain to see what fits where, and its looking more like a bike already. next task is fitting the bodywork and making brackets where needed. i've got an ad in the wanted section for a battery box complete with electrics as it would make my job a little easier. i want to finish assembling the complete bike (minus engine) before the strip down as i'm a bit OCD with labelling everything and knowing where everything goes.

and interestingly, this is the very bike which graced the pages of the may 2004 issue of classic motorcycle mechanics.

due to financial constraints and various domestic crises, my projects were put on the back burner for a long while. however, things are looking better and i have a little more disposable cash than i had before; so i bought this from james_sussex recently. (thanks james!)

it is an extremely low mileage american spec F2 which will make an ideal donor bike for the read replica. the fairing was removed today and the bike pushed into my rather small workshop. so a quick heads up to anyone restoring an F2, the tank, seat cowl and side panels will be up for sale soon, as well as the front mudguard, grab rail and a few other bits and pieces that wont be used. the indicators are the massive american versions as are the handlebars. the bars also have a little lowering kit to sit them further back if that's any use to someone.

i'm slowly putting all the PRR bodywork onto the yank bike just to see where everything fits and what brackets to make etc so just a couple of progress pics.
