Getting older but still love it
« on: May 10, 2017, 03:28:24 PM »
Hi everyone I have joined because I have just bought a 1971 cb750k chopper imported from the states and I am taking delivery next week I also own a 1960 Triton for those who do not know that is a Norton featherbed frame running a pre unit Triumph Bonneville engine but it is giving me so much grief I had to get something for the summer the Honda is unregistered at the moment but with nova cert so if anyone has been through the process of first registration I would be grateful for any tips to speed it along. I am in Kent in the UK, that is about all I can say at the moment the problems will start next week thanks Chris

Welcome. Not far from Kent down in sunny Hastings.

Did you get the original American title? That helps a lot when registering the bike with DVLA. If no, then you'll need a dating certificate from a club like VJMC.

Once you have one of those, and a MOT you can start the registering process.

Welcome to the forum,  Chris.   There's all sorts of advice on here; some of it is even useful.   How about some photos?
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

Now that Triton looks fun,

a big twin with a kickstart is to big for me,

the Chop looks good as well

pity you can't get a Triumph 60's twin with a "working" electric start !!!!

I have bought the chopper as when dismounting the Triton I find myself locked in position and in need of gallons of WD40 (beer) to move
