Good news is that we got a snazzy autofeed scanner at work so at last I can scan the CB250/350K0 parts books and the CB72/77 Parts Books and put them in my Dropbox ... I can't believe that nobody seems to have done this on the Internet yet but there ya go.

I wonder if the conclusion was the reason for poorer than expected sales in the UK and the reluctance for Honda to start importing the CB750 here?

Interesting comparison, those brake performance figures are funny in how much the Honda outperforms the Triumph.

Interesting for me as I own a 500 Triumph, I never owned a CB450 but mates had them. My Triumph 350 brakes were dreadful and I put a disc on my 500 (with later Honda caliper )

As you know I have a bored out CB77 and love it, both my Triumph and CB77 are fantastic bikes but have different characters. My CB77 has the twin leading shoe brake on front and back, WAY too harsh for the rear, maybe OK with pillion, and the front is initially very powerful then instantly fades, it needs a cooling scoop and vent for spirited riding.

In fairness to the Triumph - the Honda 450 had the twin leading shoe brakes in '66, and so did the new '66 Triumphs which were equally as powerful. The Triumph tested had the early single leading shoe brake the same as my Triumph 350.

Thanks for that Ash makes very interesting reading. You would have thought the Honda would be light years ahead of the Triumph, would seem not! Nice to meet you and the missus last Sunday on your jolly over to Blackpool (to see that mystery client). Shame you didn't see my missus, but getting her up on a Sunday morning is a non starter. Great to meet you too Roy !! I bunged the missus a few £££ to buy a fold up pushbike,  on the way back... I'm taking her to Newark Autojumble on Sunday as my  'negotiator/salesperson' ...If you can't beat 'em ...then cut them in and get them to join you, that's my new motto.

Hope the 'mystery client' enjoys and let's make the same journey together sharing tips and parts leads and let us  teach the boring old f*rts who won't part with rare bits (I don't meant guys & gals on this forum BTW) that there is no such thing as 'unobtanium' and that hen's teeth & RHP do in fact exist !
