Ok, put the US spec bars on today and I think it looks way better. It's also more comfortable to ride. The mirrors are in the right place now as well. I can see clearly behind me and not just a view of my biceps.

One question though. Is there a different bracket that the speedo and rev counter mount to for a US spec and a UK spec bike? I ask because my gauges have always looked too "flat". I'd prefer them to be angled back a bit.

The US K1 had a different bracket along with different speedo and tacho as the cable entry is at an angle and not straight down, also the rear chrome cups are complete rather than a large hole. These were never fitted to the UK model which had the straight inputs and cup with large hole. I have a set of NOS US gauges along with used mounting hardware but they will not be cheap

My bike is a 73 K2 US import. Cam you tell if the gauges are correct for my model?

The K2 should have the Big gauges like the 750 with a chrome rear light bracket that is the shape of the UK black one.

If you can post a pic of the faces and the chrome backs I will look in my parts books and tell you about the clocks

You have K0 type gauges there. You can tell because the spedo / tacho cable outlet is 90 degrees (straight out) to the back of the gauge body.

Not the best, but only one I have at present.

Next time home, gauges coming off again and bracket will get a coat of paint. New gauge rubbers should of arrived from DSS and I'll replace rusty chrome domed nuts for stainless ones. I'll post a better picture then.
