There's always an upside. Getting home from the pub in your driverless electric dodgem will be a breeze, just sit in the back and wave at the nice policeman.  ;D ;D

You'll be taxed for waving Roy - they will have to get the revenue from somewhere when there's no fines for motoring offences

Ha , taxed for waving, brilliant!

Here's the thing with driverless cars though, in a completely unavoidable accident, where the choice is running over an 80 year old woman or a 20year old woman, a human would run over the 80 year old, because we can make that sort of complex moral judgement, what would a driverless car do?

Ahh but............. humans will not be allowed to walk anywhere by then - as walking will be deemed too dangerous!

My guess is it would run one of them over and then reverse up to take the other one out due to some kind of "fairness " algorithm 😄

A good point is that if it breaks down all you do is switch it off and back on again... always works, except for printers  ;)
