I could be wrong but I think it is a genuine error by the seller. I'm not saying the bike is good, safe or right but regards the 1971 registration, that could be an error or true if someone got an age related certificate, as the date of manufacture could be 1971 as per Hondas records. Remember the CB750 diecast that Frank had, that was imported from the states and the age related certificate came back from Honda stating 1968 !!!.
Anyway, I have wished the owner of the 350/400 good luck with the sale.

He has put on as much has he knows now. Anyone bidding now knows exactly what it is. Or can do some homework. I might bid on it now.  :)

No chance of being a k plate, the bike has either been re-registered or it's an import, paperwork was obviously incorrectly filled out, my old 500 k3 was on a 75 plate but the bike was 77/78 and was not worth  the hassle of getting it corrected.

It's still there but under the new listing.

I don't see anything wrong with having \ selling \ buying a bitsa. Seller may well not know if it has had a bigger engine out in. And if a tank, it fits. Some are happy just having an old bike.

I agree nothing wrong with a Bitsa, the thing with this ad was it was a 400/4, not a 350 with a bigger motor, it pays even for sellers to do the research as well as potential buyers.
