Valve Oil Leak
« on: October 07, 2017, 01:41:34 PM »
After adjusting valve clearances i (lazily) gave the bike a short run without the tappet covers on, to check it was running ok.

This is what happened! Any ideas why oil would be squirting our of the valves on C1?

(Strange noise at the end of the video must have been the woman on the radio!!)

If oil did not come out of there with the engine running I would be very worried that the top end would sieze

That is why they have covers.to keep the oil in
There's lots of oil pumped to the cam and head.to keep it well lubricated
