K4 oil tank setup
« on: November 12, 2017, 01:15:51 AM »
HI Guys,
I'm just putting my oil tank back in my bike and I'm a bit unsure where the breather lines go.

My manual doesn't show the lines for a K4, but I'm sure when I took it off the lower fitting on the back of the tank was connected to a line that vents to atmosphere (hose goes down to bottom of bike).

The upper fitting on the back of the tank had no hose fitted to it, but I'm guessing that it goes to the rocker cover breather (which also had no hose fitted to it).

Have I got that correct or is it the other way around?

I've attached a pic of the tank in my bike just to make sure where talking about the same one.

Thanks for your help  :)

These diagrams may help.. Ill try to have a look on my k4 which is currently hiding at the back of the garage waiting for re-commissioning.....

The bottom hose goes to the back of the engine, the top one goes to the engine breather located on top of the engine  ;)
