camchain tensioner bolt
« on: November 20, 2017, 10:22:58 PM »
What opions do I have now the camchain tensioner bolt has snapped off.

Was been very careful whilst adjusting during service/tune up.

Does the engine need to be stripped to replace the bolt, after i hopefully manage to get whats left of the bolt.

Another expensive job

Thanks

which bolt has snapped? the lock bolt?
This just locks the spring loaded plunger in place.
If you can get the remaining bit out then just replace the bolt.
Left hand drill bits or an easy out will usually help you remove the bolt.
New ones available on eBay.
