CB750F Seat - Laser printed??
« on: November 21, 2017, 08:27:27 PM »
Well now.  Thought I'd share this.  After working on a plug and fibreglass mould for a seat I managed to damage the mould when releasing.  I've given up trying to repair the damage (for now) and have been working with a pal on a CAD design based on dims from the mould to 3D print.  I've attached a "png" file - hope it works.  Got a few more details to add but I think it's looking pretty okay.

I'll post some photos of the "printed" final effort when complete and on the bike.

I've a feeling the only thing holding up things now are the electrics!!!

Liam, are you intending to 3D print an actual seat to fit to the bike, or a mould to make a fibreglass base from ?

What type of 3D printer is it?
