Wiring and electrics.. looking better!
« on: December 01, 2017, 09:38:58 AM »

Well as my second ever restoration this bike is throwing up challenges all the time...  but we have gone from a mess of 40 year old wiring and bodge jobs from previous owners to something that I'm pleased with.. there is very little room to make these neat and hide wiring but I think its the best I can do.

I'm moving up the loom now .. and I will be shortening it to make the wiring as minimal and neat as possible.. as quite a few connectors not required.

I have a love hate with wiring...

You're going about it the right way, binning the scotchlocks and removing any superfluous connectors.  By keeping it neat and tight to the frame where possible will make the electrics more reliable.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

PM me if you require some for a project.
Have now managed to sourced the OE 9 way connector (as image) for the CB500 K1 onward...someone one did ask me some time ago if they where still available.
