Very amateur auctioneer. That sort of thing usually ends with the legal people. In an auction when the hammer drops it's over regardless of how many other people want to put in higher bids, although the protocol is to warn bidders it's ending it's not required. I have been to a few auctions where there was no warning of it ending. That should not have been restarted. :(

One bit of info I did find out about that bike is that lot's of people on various forums  (including me!  :-[ :-[) Criticised the fitting of later exhausts when Yamiya did in fact have stocks of repro Lotus root exhausts available. In fact the bike is fitted with NOS HMCB750 European spec exhausts (fitted in Europe to meet their emissions instead of HM300.... both types exist in the early parts books). The reason the PO chose those is because the baffle view at the end looks very similar to the ones fitted to the pp bike originally. At the time he was restoring it and buying NOS parts Yamiya were not repro-ing Lotus Root replicas. In fact the HMCB750 pipes are very rare NOS (ask Uli on here !) so if the new owner sells them he could command a good price and fit Yamiya Lotus Roots if he wishes. I also found that the seat is the proper original and the tank has a slight intentional crease line  in it which makes that tank totally unique to the pp bikes. Evidently the main bits missing, unique to the bike is the M/cyl and the carbs. I know all this because someone I know who was close to the PO was at the auction and spent half an hour scrutinizing it.

I suspect his H2 headlight is probably the only thing Richard Langkey has ever had sucked off Maybe that's his problem?

They turn up at events wearing 'elite' Insignia and Medals that they never earned..........and tell tall tales and fantastic fibs.........

Why do all Kawasaki owners think they were the first superbike? Just because they were faster.
Any ground breaking bike is worthy of the title

Well i don't, and i own one, the CB 750 was the first super bike available to the masses, but was not the first super bike, and sweeping statements like yours piss me off, so this should now be in the angry thread.
