Alan
Alan,
I have a great teacher looking over my shoulder at everything I do on this and if it is not right is not backward at comming forward ;) ;) ;D
He may own up to being this person but his help/advice is invaluble.
Are you talking about the Honda God at the House of Honda Paul? 😁😁😁😁😁 Hopefully you are now beginning to realise what I went through when I built my engine, I have still not recovered fully.
 😭😭😭

Ah yes, bless him 😰😰😰 It's very difficult for the likes of you and me Paul to remember everything that need re plating or powder coating. There is always something that gets left behind for 'next time'.

Ha, i have just looked up the dictionary meaning of 'respite'

respite
ˈrɛspʌɪt,ˈrɛspɪt/Submit
noun
1.a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant.

Those look so nice. .... getting all the little springs, washers and such plated and looking good as new just makes such a difference.

Fantastic progress Paul and all coming together nicely.

Interesting you mention John Street Platers, as that's the firm that a friend of mine has used for many, many years.

The place I always use took 5 weeks to do the plating below and he told me on Wednesday that if I give him some more it will be at least 4 weeks (he told me 3 weeks last time - 5 weeks in reality). Can you share prices please ? As an example this stuff cost £65 (paid him in readies).
