It'll never run right with the number 3 written at 90 degrees to the numbers on the other pistons. My OCD whacked me around the head when I saw that.

Seriously though, great quality work. Will you use the Vesrah head gasket, or get a genuine Honda one? I did, on advice from here, it cost twice what the whole complete gasket set cost (from CSM), but was a sticky finish, and doesn't leak.
Not really thought about it yet :o

Managed to get the barrels on and the cam cover polished.
Just waiting for a couple of parts and then hopefully the head on and the engine into the frame.

Managed to get the head on last night and gave it the first torque down will re torque it tonight  :)

Ha ha i'm feeling the wrath of too many questions to Graham  ;) ;) In my defence I didn't strip the engine/bike down and the manuals are as Graham said burn them to keep warm.

Well, someone put them in your box  ;D ;D He had me hunting high and low for them. I couldn't believe he didn't have any more in stock until he said they were the square 'O' rings and you had ended up with the whole bag of them  ::) ::) ::)

Cam in and timed up, all rocker assemblies installed.
Just need to get the cam cover installed and it can go back in the frame ;D ;D

9 months actually and have you any idea what these engines cost  ;D ;D ;) ;) ;)
There has been a milestone this week as it has gone from this

Carbs have also been stripped and cleaned, carb kit arrived and all bits back from BZP plating 8)

That is coming along very well and it will be great to see another SOHC on the road.
