CR750 Battery Solution - Help from Eleci Techi Members
« on: February 09, 2018, 04:16:19 PM »
I'm looking to fit the smallest possible battery (for space reason),
Question:- So I can source a battery based on the power I need from a battery relative to my setup, what minimum power can I get away with for the following setup:-
To reduce the engine width to avoid cutting hole in the fairing, I've got the following race alternator
http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/acatalog/RPK-1750-Honda-CB750-SOHC-Alternator-System.html with the starter motor removed, so main load will be electronic ignition (and probably Dyna coils) and the projector headlight/rear light (although as the bike will have that big white race number plate so don't have to have the lights on all the time).
When I know this, I can cross reference to the battery size.
I have sourced a lithium but prefer conventional battery if poss - for reason you all advised on previous post. If need be, I will have to go that route
Thanks in advance

I don't know if this would be of any interest (if youve already bought them small generator set) but may be offer you a more integrated method.

Would achieve both targets it seems, and run the lights from a straight discharge battery as legal contingency.
