You are right about Italian, at least the 70's era bikes , i bought a new Benelli six (sei) in 1976, i kept it for about three months, the build quality was abysmal, it leaked oil from stem to stern so i part ex'd it for a BMW R90S, what a difference. Sorry about hi-jacking your post.

How much did the bmw fetch out of interest? I have 2 sat here that are rough as a badgers backside and probably need the eBay treatment. Both mechanically sound throughout but had a few winters too much commuting and then been stood in a barn too long. They may be good bikes but the cb500 is both lighter and cheaper to run. Bmws #@%$ card though is parts are still available.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

You found the auto-censor

Didn’t know that it loops and censors itself though!

There are only a couple of words that I set for auto censor. You can probably imagine what they are.

I moderate the US site as well and they have so much trouble with politics and guns …

There’s a certain US President ( can’t think why I have him a capital P).

Unfortunately, that word gets used in its real sense every now and then.
