Stopped by to see this collection a friend told me about,  driven past this place almost weekly but unaware of it's existence.

Love the Kawasaki Mach111-H1A reminds me of when I was a Yoof. I was going to live forever back then, and rode like it as well. It's been so well restored you can't even see the hinge in the middle of the frame.

That wasn't a hinge Roy ------ it was rot caused by the liquid adrenaline leaking onto it. You should have tried the original Z900!!

The Z1 was amazing in its day - it just left everything for dead - that was in 1975 on my Z1B so back in 72 it must have been even more amazing.

I had a good look at that Kawasaki royhall,  it's a very nice bike. In my view, alot of that era suffers from really crap headstock and swingarm bearings. It amazes me that the engines were so well researched and manufactured,  but the frame bearings were not much more than bicycle level basic.

Oddjob, I saw an RE5 at the local bike meet last year (they seem huge considering the core of a rotary is so small) and had a chat with the owner,  I half expected it to be here but just the DKW.

Sadly it's mostly going to be in an estate sale at Stafford. It's a shame as the business owner had such a interest in collecting and also riding them rather than as a museum. I was speaking to one of the People on Web page profile that looks after them,  really  knowledgeable and indicated that they have been ridden like they were supposed to be.

Lovely looking bikes and nice to hear they were ridden as intended. The Laverda 3C looks a peach. I'd be interested to know who looked after it, they take a lot of know-how to look after properly considering it's an air cooled engine. There's a restored 3C up for auction tomorrow in London Excel motorcycle show, Coys are involved so it won't be cheap!

The Laverda looked really good and we were talking about that one as I've ridden a Jota some time ago. The person I was speaking to has a profile on front/home page,  named Dave. Seemed to know a fair bit about it and Laverda in general. They've obviously got quite a diverse group to look after there and would certainly seem to have the skills to match. They have not just worked on the display but customer bikes also.

Not far from you I suppose,  could be worth a trip to look.

James, is that the one I looked at with you in 2016? I remember it had nos gauges. I the end I got a green one, but the garnet brown is still my favourite standard colour. I have a spare tank that I will probably get sprayed sometime.
