Early 750 Ignition Switch - Key availability
« on: March 01, 2018, 03:50:25 PM »
I need an ignition switch for the CR project and have an early round plug 750 ignition switch that has no key. Seems a shame to junk it and buy a repo. Does anyone know a cheap source of keys as I have the number on the switch. Seen loads in ebay from USA but cost/postage is not practical

If you have the number I can ask a mate who has loads of keys and he sells them via VJMC magazine.

Worth  selling if it's the round black plug style
Then buy a cheaper one and have a few quid

Thanks Ash - its N3647

Pete - wasn't planning to sell but only using it as its just been in the shed from my previous K2 rebuild (put full lock set from America on that) - I was going to cut the round plug off and fit a square one to match the harness I'm currently making for the CR - just because I thought it cheaper to buy a key than buy a repo switch

May not be as cheap as you would like, but just send them the key number and they can supply a key.

I have had one for the 750 from them. The key was not as long as the original but worked fine. Its the one I use all the time.
