The gauges need to flexible within their mounting plates so using the correct length distance pieces on the gauge studs and the correct washers under the cap nuts is important. Drawing the gauge too far in the plates compress the foam cushions too much and defeats their purpose.  I'll have some of those distance pieces in the spare box, they often drop out when the gauge is removed and roll away into some dark corner never to be seen again.

Thanks for that info Peter and an update.
I think I have the correct spacers (7.1mm) in there, but I have tried inverting the stepped rubber washers and putting then in the holder from the top. Tried this loose with good results and will try with an additional rubber washer on the outside. But much improve.
Paul, I see you have additional thoughts on your mind (exhausts) and I will be following that with interest as I have been running a set of the repros from DSS for a year.

That's the correct size spacers and the washers on the top of the should be 2 mm.
