Micrometers & dial gauges

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced make/model of micrometer,dial and inner dial gauge please? Thanks.

You get what you pay for in this field, i can highly recommend Mitutoyo, some of the Clarke range, but there are a lot of knock offs on eBay, better off going to a reputable tool company, not cheap but Kosher.

Aldi have them left in some stores for £7.

    I have a Mitutoyo dial gauge (metric) and an old Starret dial gauge set (imperial) i might be persauded to part with. PM me if interested.

Thanks for all the input..I'm sorted now thanks.. ordered dial & bore gauges, micrometers & stand ...various makes, Sealey, draper and 1 mitutoyo (2nd hand)... :)
