Very rare model. Never personally seen one in the UK. Very much a 175 version of the CB160  with chrome panelled tank etc I think a few members on here have the later 175s. I have a `71 K5 . I may be wrong here but I think I did see UK literature for the K0 though so it was possibly sold here in small numbers. I would imagine many cycle parts are common to the 160 The parts manual is actually on this site in my Dropbox links for the CB175K0 and the genuine Honda Shop manual.

Hello Ash.
I have 2 k6's & a sloper.
The reason I ask about the K0 is.
I have a perfect NOS  rear mudguard for a K0.
Even though I have K6's the k4/5 model's are my favourite.
Sean.

Here is the link to the K0 parts book... I am on the lookout for a 'sloper' centre stand if you ever see one. I have a '68  CD125 'sloper' which is basically the same as the 175 but with an SS125 type engine. RGP750 (Rich) on here has two late model CB175's, one of which he just finished restoring.

As Ash has said the 175 KO was essentially 160 with a slightly larger capacity, it did however have a 5th gear and a speedometer that incorporated a tachometer. I think it was only produced in 1968 and wasn't imported to the UK.
Probably most went to the USA and are popular there for the F160 racing series in view of the 5th gear.

Bore a CB160 + 40 and you have 175.

Yes ..I think you are correct Peter ..not available in the UK and pretty difficult to even get a decent image of one. Here's the best  can come up with  :)

Not sure that the 175K0 had a separate tacho though although the CB125 did.

I'm thinging of putting a 5 speed gear cluster from a K6 into my sloper. But I'm not sure yet.
Also I'm led to believe the sloper generator puts out enough power to run 12v. So I just need to change everything else.
Has anyone here done either of these mods?
I like to keep things original. But I think these mods would greatly improve the little sloper.
Sean.

Back in the early 80's I converted a couple of CD175s (not slopers) to 12v, as the generator output is determined by the battery voltage. Changed the battery, ign coil and condensor, flasher unit, horn and bulbs for 12v items, job done! Worked perfectly for more than 2 years as everyday hacks, then sold them on.

I must get on with it. As the 6v system is far too weak.
I wish I could do the same with my Xl250 Motorsport.
That has 3 generator coils 1 for Ignition. 1 for Battery.
1 solely for the headlight, which is amazingly good.
But the Battery/indicators are amazingly bad!

I seem to remember that I just swapped all of the 12v electrics from a CB160 onto my sloper back in the day but when I sold it the buyer insisted that I swapped it back to 6V standard parts ?  Alternators have come on so much, due to rare earth magnets. For a work project a few months back, I  rewound an aftermarket HD 50A alternator with PEEK coated magnet wire for 250v output/three phase. We were pulling 1.25 kW from it when we tested it and the magnet wire was still within it's current rating.

I wonder if that CD175 sloper project on eBay is genuine mileage?

If the milage is genuine. Makes me wonder why the tank badges have been changed.
Also the rear tyre looks like a Dunlop SM. Surely a Sloper would not have scrubbed of its original tyre in 4k miles. Though it could have been changed out of preference.
But the tank badges???
