CB350/4 tank onto a 400/4
« on: December 22, 2018, 12:37:40 PM »
Is there much of a difference visually between the 350/4 and 400/4 tanks?
My 400/4 tank is compressed a little at the front (on top) and I am not sure if it is easily repairable so I have been keeping my eyes open for a replacement but they very rarely show up in Australia.
The 350/4 tank listed below looks to be in pretty good condition and is is a good price but I am not sure how it will look on the bike.

I know anyone who knows about the SOHC 4's will immediately spot it but it might be a good alternative while I either find a way to fix my original tank or source a good one. I am not overly keen to buy an aftermarket one.. I am just not sure of the fit and finish and they all seem to h=only have a 14mm petcock outlet.

Only seen it the other way round ... seat fitment looks a bit suspect.

They are very different in shape but that doesn't mean that it won't fit. The tank/seat relationship may be a bit suspect.
