Does anyone here have a seat catch or a CB750K1 going spare?
Sean.

I believe DK (2wheelspares on ebay) have them if you get stuck. The sprung plungers are available from DS

No plunger on a K1, No seat lock, it is a catch and hard to find part. Ask Paul G  ;)

;D ;D Trigger spotted me one but it was in the states.
Part arrived last week and now needs powder coating.
I was also lucky the guy marked it as gift so no import tax :o

Remember the K1 lock does not have the helmet loop.

Despite that, my K1 came with the yellow 'Helmet Lock' sticker in the place where there isn't one. It summed up the restoration that the bike had had in the past.

My seat latch is falling to bits, so I am watching this with interest, but in some respects that's a plus, as there's a knack to opening the seat, it makes it harder for passing theiving scrotes to knick my toolkit and worse.

Now the plot thickens.
I wish to fit my K1 with a repro Guiliari seat. But it appears that only K2 onward seats are available. So I'm wondering whats the difference between the two?
Can I fit a K2 seat by fitting a K2 seat catch, as I believe the K2 catch is a simple clamp on to the frame affair.
