Thread pitch?
« on: May 25, 2018, 10:29:46 PM »
Can anyone tell me the thread size & pitch in the hole where the brake pipe enters the Caliper on a Cb750f1?
As the threads on the Caliper I have is a bit festered & needs cleaning out.
Sean.

I think early Honda brake fittings are M10 x 1.25mm pitch.

Similar to yamaha on the RD's.

It it simple to get braided brake hoses made up to go straight into the caliper without  using the standard metal pipe bit?

Yep. I've got HEL braided hoses on mine. Any of the other manufacturers will supply the hoses.

Nice, i always thought these kits were a direct replacement for the standard hoses i.e. would need the rigid line still.

Here's mine with HEL line going straight to the caliper, I preferred it that way.

That hose looks tidy. And so is the shine on that metal!

That is exactly what I'm trying to achieve. Only on double disc set up.
I'm really don't like the hoses going round the outside of the forks.
Thanks for posting.
Regards.

I've done exactly that too.

A single hose that goes from the brake light switch union to the caliper with an angled male fitting at the caliper end.

I now need one. My 78 one piece hose ordered from cmsl showing 3 in stock is now no stock so money refunded. Where did you get yours?

Thanks gtmdriver. Have emailed him with a link to your bike pic. Internal diameter of banjo 10mm and 10x1.25 for the thread with vernier calipers. Regards Simon
