Thanks, I’ll see how we do turning it around (it will neaten up the area I’ve got to navigate with the new seat pan / seat so worth getting it right). As for the holes being for “ventilation”......somehow that doesn’t sit right???????

You need to understand Bryan's sense of humour! Don't think there IS a reason for it! (The holes!)
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

It was stupid o'clock after a baaad day and the answer seemed reasonable to me-----an old northerner with a Les Dawson sense of Humour. There is no specific reason for the holes, may just be a design carry over from an originally different method of fixing, may just have been an ink blot on the drawings, who knows. I have seen a tank packed up with rubber and a nut(Nylock) and bolt through that hole when the tabs on the frame had disappeared---made it a swine to remove and cost the customer a fortune in labour.

Thanks Hairy at least one person understands me, apart from the cat!!

Sorry anyone finds any part of the cartoon offensive, but Bryan's last paragraph reminded me of this cartoon!

As another Northerner Bryan, I had my suspicions (& love the cartoon btw Hairy). Keep it up both!

A nut/bolt (& big washer) seems an easy enough addition. A  bit “belt n brace” maybe but an easy fit (no rip-off labour rates if i’m doing it all on my tod).
