Good day, i am trying to check wether or not i have a serious problem. When the engine of my k2 is running I can hear a rattling noise (from the primary chain?) that goes away when i pull the clutch. Its not very loud or worrying but i wouldn't like it to worsen. I've tried to adjust the cam chain (Clymer manual page 48) via the tensioner but didn't improve it.Any other way to assess the problem?thanksel__burroSent from my SM-G935F using TapatalkAny chance of a video to hear this noise or you could look up member Yozzer, he had the same problem & put as video on here.if you have adjusted the cam chain then that should be fine...for those who are not sure how to do the cam chainhere is a short video to show hot to adjust the cam chain properly.. I think I'll use them as a last resort. I dived into the classic bike scene expecting and wanting to learn a bit more about them. So far it's quite enjoyable solving the issues. I hope I can progress to changing the clutch toward the end of summer and get the carbs balanced. If it needs more intervention then I might have to rely on someone who knows what's what as I'm sure I don't have the knowledge as yet to strip it down - hopefully it won't come to that. What I have noticed after doing the static timing and the cam chain adjustment is the bike fires up much better. On tickover it clatters until you pull in the clutch ?? - clutch or primary chain ?. Also when riding in any gear you can hear what I can only describe ( hopefully it's an understood term) the drivetrain working. It's less noticeable say above 3-4 k rpm. I am not sure if this is normal for a bike of this age (k6) or if it's symptomatic of something worn ?. As the k6 is new to me I am on a steep learning curve.
