Mechanic in Kent?
« on: June 05, 2018, 06:13:24 PM »
Hi all,

New to the forum- hello!

Looking for some advice if possible.

I've had an ongoing project CB 750 for a three of years now. It has been at the same point now for nearly 2 of those, yes- I'm terrible father to her! So, i have decided to look for a good mechanic to get her an MOT and finish the last few jobs. I've always been used to building my own bikes, however life is just a little too busy at the moment!

So. It requires the following.

- Carb set up- possibly an ultra sound? It runs on 2 cylinders to start with, floods, then opens to 4 once warm- still slight flooding though.
- One indicator on the front requires looking at.
- New set of tyres on.

Everything else is very good, it has 10K mileage and I think it's genuine. I've overhauled the brakes (calipers sent away), changed all cables, oil, and given a general overhaul where required. All very basic stuff is complete.

I don't have a massive budget but am willing to pay for the right person/ garage to take on.

Any pointers would be great. I'm currently based in Margate, but happy to travel with the bike to the right place.

Thanks in advance for reading.
