My sandcast guard had no hole I traded it with rich for other parts big mistake on my part
My early k0 front guard also has no hole have that one still and it will go on my sandcast
Zwo types of double cut fenders: without hole for the speedo cable holder (early sandcast) and with hole (later SC and early diecast)
Good point Uli - my 57xx sandcast has the speedo cable guide hole...

Just had a look into the parts book: that cable holder grommet came with# 15593.

Sorry to say, all sandcast and early  diecast  up to # 15592 had fender without hole.

My k1 manufactured in April came with a single cut front guard and I'm fairly confident it was the original front end on the bike too.
Unfortunately it was damaged shortly after I registering the bike when a twat on site backed into it.

Tremendous job James, you have a right little production line going there.
Beautiful restoration James....
Bike looks great James, the engine looks stunning in the frame, I remember it well
Fantastic job James.
Will you ride it up to DS anniversary day?
May ride mine up if the weather is ok, James with the Sand cast wants to ride up, will ask Mick as well.

Thanks for the compliments..

Rich - not sure if I’m here for the DSS event - if I am I’ll certainly take one of the 750’s up. Just depends what I have at the time road-ready.

I didn't even know about DSS doing an anniversary day.
If I go I may even wash the bike as I always have the rattiest bike at any event.

The one we have been discussing is 24th June. Classic Bike Day (not just CB750s )

Absolutely beautiful work James and Graham. Makes my 500s look dull.  :'(
As said earlier, I would be afraid to take it near our roads without them getting a thorough scrubbing first. Presume that it will be sold on and hope it goes to someone who will set it free occasionally and not leave it locked away.

Finished the carbs this evening. Completely rebuilt / plated from top to bottom. Very happy with the results. These are one of the most time consuming tasks on these bikes but very therapeutic when done right.

Beautiful James. I always think a newly refurbed set of carbs are worthy of a place in a display cabinet, better than any ornament.
