Carbs and pipes fitted this evening. Discovered a leak in float bowl #1 (miniscule crack in overflow pipe). Will sleeve/epoxy repair tomorrow.

Tank badges, cap, fuel tap and strips a job for tomorrow.

Should be ready for first fire early next week.

Lovely job as ever, while we’re talking attention to detail though, does it have a helmet lock, or did you just have a sticker left over?

In my eyes the carbs are a bit too good (bowls, upper top rings..)
Battery earth cable with plasic cover?

But thats complaining at a very high level.

Uli, I’ve ordered some of these for you ....

Both fair points though.

I’ve got 1/70 bikes (original, unrestored) with both Braided and Plastic costed earths straps. I suspect the transition happened sometime in Jan/70.

A beautiful job James and a nice set of useful pictures for a 'newbie' like me. I'll go through this piece a few times with a note pad, as the dates of production line mods is confusing on a good day. It's just that I've been in the garage to look at mine and now feel thoroughly depressed. I'm just off to a dark room now for a quiet cry. I may be some time.
