Bleeding brakes

Just renewed brake system on my 400f; new slave piston and seal, 3 new brake pipes and replaced master cylinder piston cw new seals fitted correctly, the old master cylinder wasn't pitted. I have filled res, opened bleed screw and pumped lever expecting level in res to go down and nothing happens, just a few bubbles coming from the holes in bottom of res! Any ideas

Make sure the smaller return hole in the bottom of the reservoir is clear. It's tiny and you may need to pass a very thin wire or pin head or even better carb cleaning tool through it. If it's blocked the system won't work.
