Someone obviously couldn't add up. Yes his birth date is correct that makes him and me 61 years young.

Heart attack at 61 is worrying. Looks like I have two years left, better get some more money spent on the bikes. ;D

Heart attacks are scary stuff, I was very lucky that while I was having mine my wife asked if I wanted a cup of tea, of course I said yes and it seemed to sort it out, it's been a standing joke ever since between us. A quick trip to Broad Green hospital and a stent later and I've been fine ever since, that was three years ago and I still cannot believe that I actually had a heart attack.

Cheers

For anyone that may be interested, here is the fly past route for the 100 planes on Tuesday. All meeting up in the north sea and heading towards London. Practices been going on here from Coningsby for the last couple of weeks......very exciting.

Well, I think I have the best seat in the house, well in the back garden anyway. The BBMF are up doing a final rehearsal for tomorrow, they have been flying around for almost an hour, sounds fantastic. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Flypast was awesome. It not the same on the telly as you don’t get the noise. They were pretty low.

We were on Horseguards Parade as guests of the RAF (my son is in the band) so they came over our shoulder.

Never seen so many top brass. Princess Anne was there too.

I sat in a Typhoon cockpit and chatted to an F35 pilot on their static stand.

There was also a Spitfire (replica), Sopwith Camel (real), Dakota (real and they have to take the wings off to move it around), Chinook (real and dirty/well used), Harrier (real), Tornado (mock up) and the F35 which was a model but used for training techies. The RAF only have 4 F35s so far and 3 of them were in the Flypast.

We had a great time

F35 cockpit has about three switches and a massive touch panel. It also has voice control but the guy said it wasn’t as good as the one in his car. Not something you’d want to use in combat!

I managed to finish work early today and raced back down the A14 and A12 stopping at Easthorpe just in time to drop my camera on the floor and loose the battery.
The bridges over the A12 where totally rammed with people one old girl in a Fiat 500 almost caused a pileup when she decided to almost stop to wave too them.
