Found this which amused me, bit far to go in getting rid of those pesky PD carbs though.

I like the ad hoc diesel badge as well. What style ;D

Square headlight in a round hole  :o
The honda haters, my 2-stroke pals, or “h@#da” as it appears on their forum (swearing isn’t allowed), would say its an improvement on the original...

Love it.  I wonder what MPG he gets.   Deplorable headlamp though.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

That engine reminds me of a washing machine.

Just needs a glass window and you could ride and wash your smalls at the same time.

There is a military trail bike that's diesel powered, been around 10 years now, took quite a lot of development to get it to preform comparably to a 600cc kwak they used as the benchmark or so I recall reading. Anyone wonder why a diesel bike, 2 reasons, military just want to have 1 fuel type in use, logistically easier for them. The other reason for a diesel bike, even more economical that the cb550k3, 200km / gallon territory.  When my commute was 20 miles each way that had some appeal, nowadays I commute nearer 2 miles and carry a fair payload of tools / material back and forth. Considerably lowers the appeal.

Royal Enfield have had a diesel in mass production for many years now. I have ridden a few in India, first one i rented, came with a starting handle >>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70N8r1wFQaM >>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRn7ejfJUVo
