Stator ‘honda’ plate
« on: July 22, 2018, 10:31:00 AM »
Has anyone got the Honda emblem plate which attaches to the front of the stator housing on a Cb550f it’s the one that attaches via three clips on the back and not the one that is the complete housing!

Desperately seeking!!

Thanks guys

Alan

I thought that it was only the 500 four that had the alternator plate or, were they fitted to early 550's in the states ?

It could have had a 500 one fitted at some point in it's life, seen it done years ago when 500 parts were considerably cheaper than 550 parts from breakers....

It's only really 550F2 and K3 and 1978K bikes that don't have the stator plate.
They get scraped or maybe a few fall off, they seem to be constant sellers. £46.80 from DSS!! I think I paid £35 a couple of years ago.

Thanks guys it is a Cb550f super sport may have had the housing changed at some point! Seen them on dss but was hoping somebody might have had a half decent one lying around?

I won’t hold my breath tho.. the only second hand ones I’ve seen have been down the road bearing the weight of the bike on it!!

Cheers

Al
