Well that looks a lot nicer than when we crammed it into the back of your corsa!  Nice job mate!

Nice one, as others have said it's nice to see another one saved and back on the road.

Cheers

Just coming up to the 200 mile mark and pulling stronger, as the engine runs in more and everything beds in.
Any one know how much one of these F tanks hold ?

I'm always looking for a garage when I go out with my mate, the F2 tank that I have fitted is the same as the F1 but with a different tap spigot and according to the F2/K8 manual (thanks Bryan) holds 19.5 litres, 5.1 US gallon or 4.3 Imp gallon. The reserve holds about 1 gallon of that. Surprisingly the K8 tank is smaller and holds 17.5 litres I always thought the K tank was bigger.

Hold on
I've just pulled out my original F1 handbook and it states that the fuel capacity is 17 liters (3.7 imp gal) including 5 liters (1.1 imp gal) in the reserve supply, this sounds a bit more realistic to me.

Cheers

I've definitely got that F2 tank at 17.5 with it's reserve level set at 4.5 ltrs

The K7 is definitely 19.5 but with 4.0 ltrs of reserve level.

Didn't post originally but compliments for a nice build.
I know the style splits opinion, but as Julie says, a pile of bits is better in one whole bike than just laying around. At least you can have fun on it in this form.

Looks very well put together as you do see some real piles of crap running around with complete disregard for the rider's own health.  I know it's supposed to look edgy in that style but think some builders confuse that with just shonky old assembly.

Cheers for the info Nigel  ;)

They always go for looks which upsets the handling and running of their bike. I want a bike to handle well above any looks and, i want a bike that is going to start instantly.
I always have a saying : The japs did not put millions of man hours and billions of Yen to get it wrong. And if anyone asks me to fit a big bore kit, i always refuse and ask why. They always reply, I want to go faster. Well, if you want to go faster, then buy a faster bike  ;)

I agree 100% trigger..... its like the 2t boys doing all the porting etc on the tzr’s / rgv’s which are already fast enough. All they do is make em unreliable. Then again how many times do you see brand new bmw 1000 owners (with standard 200bhp) having power commanders and akrapovic exhaust fitted to gain a few extra bhp! As if any normal rider can possibly use it....  :o
