Depends how long they have been sitting around for. The rubbers go off if they have been on shelves for years. I know this as some years ago i bought a job lot of old stock and sold them off one at a time. The first 6 came back before i realised that the rubbers had gone hard and leaked.
Why a new one ? Just rebuild the old one  ;)

The outlet pipe has come out of the body a while ago and I bodged with JD but it’s come off again so time for new I think the DS and K&L ones are not so pricey
