Sorry to hear about your bad luck, as already been said "everyones nightmare". An insurance payout can't compensate you for any hours of work you may have put into the bike, i've had two stolen so i know the deflation your feeling at this moment.
  If i may ask, what sort of anti theft measures did you have on your bike while in the garage overnight ?

Heavy chain lock ... & standard yoke lock...
They had to bend the bottom half of garage door up to get to release latch ... door now has 90 deg bend in it!

Maybe I should have fitted a tracker???

Determined b*stereds wern't they! cutting off their hands would be too good for them, i'd include their reproductive bits as well. >:(
