Menno Dek (Paintwork)
« on: August 30, 2018, 07:45:58 AM »
Just like to share photos of the beautiful paintwork on my 1970 Triumph Bonneville Fuel Tank and Mudguards that Menno Dek worked his magic on for me. The parts were in a bit of a state but Menno cleaned, filled and prepped them and the final paint and pinstriping are exceptionally good.

It took a while longer than expected, but if he wasn't so busy.....he wouldn't be worth his reputation would he?

I'm very, very pleased with the parts and they should help to make the final restoration look as good as the day the bike left the Triumph Meriden Factory in December 1969.

It's refreshing to find a professional who takes so much care and pride in his work, so I am happy to recommend Menno's services to sohc Forum Members.

Stunning & beautiful  :) Did Triumph use the same type of paints as the Japanese i.e candy 3-stage?

Fabulous Alan, absolutely stunning  8).
Menno is top class and I second your vote. Piki for the decals and its a winning combination.
Look forward to seeing the finished bike (on 'other bikes' naturally  ;)).
My Jota 120 is going to need a repaint following the collapse of my garage roof five years ago, there's only one person I'd trust to undertake the repaint.

Love that colour Alan and love Mennos work, he always does a great job. I think we should stop recommending him to each other on the forum, as the work will take longer and longer 😀😀😀😀😀 Definitely worth the wait though

Just to add, three years on, my paintwork looks as faultless as the day it was received. Showing that so much of the work as you say is below the surface. This is on a bike in regular use.....in dry weather.

Absolutely stunning paintwork, Menno has mine now and if it looks as good as that I will be well pleased.
